January - Full Moon of the Epiphany

This will be the first full moon of the year this Friday, January 6 at 3:08 pm PST.

It will be aligned with the stars Castor and Pollux in Gemini, called Punarvasu in Vedic astrology, which means "return of the light". It is also called the "Star of Renewal".

What a great theme to start the year with! Leaving behind what no longer serves us and starting anew! Punarvasu is the star of resilience and invites us to get back on our feet for a new beginning, despite the pitfalls of the past! It is ruled by Aditi, the Mother of the Gods and Goddess of the infinite sky, who puts us before the infinite possibilities!

However, we may still feel a foot in the past because of the 3 retrograde planets: Mars until the 12th, Mercury until the 18th and Uranus until the 22nd. The energy will then slowly unravel from January 12 and it is still time to finish what is not finished, to close loops and to set new intentions for the year!

This is an excellent full moon for writing, poetry, all forms of learning and training. This constellation is also related to fractals and is a good time to explore them and travel into the infinitely small and infinitely large.

January 14 is "Makar Sankranti", the entry of the Sun into the constellation of Capricorn, which begins the sun's journey northward, resulting in longer days.

Another big shift is the entry of Saturn into the constellation Aquarius (sidereal astrology) until April 2025. There will be many new communities, networks, collective projects. This is the time to create the world we want, according to our dreams and visions!
