March - Creative & Romantic Full Moon

It will be the full moon this Tuesday, March 7 at 4:40 a.m. PST.

This last full moon of winter is called the "Crow Moon" or "Sugar Moon". It will be aligned with the constellation Leo (sidereal astrology), specifically the lunar constellation (nakshatra) PurvaPhalguni, which means "the fruits of the tree".

PurvaPhalguni is a very creative and romantic nakshatra, ruled by Bhaga, deity of conjugal love and prosperity. Its symbol is, among others, a hammock. It invites us to rest after hard work, to take time for ourselves and for those we love. This constellation is also favorable for any work related to media, such as making videos, movies, photography, websites, blogs, etc. It is also a nakshatra favourable for planting seeds and any activity related to gardening.

Leo is ruled by the Sun, which is the atma (soul). It is a good time to connect to our soul, to who we really are, and become aware of our nobility, our Divine origins. Bhaga is the Beloved within us, always present to comfort us and make us feel his love.

According to Vedic astrology, the nakshatras Purva and Uttara Phalguni were originally called Arjuna, the disciple of Krishna, a spiritual warrior against the forces of darkness. He represents our ego-mind in the service of Krishna, our higher Self, on the battlefield of life, and also of our mind and emotions. Like Arjuna who was guided by Krishna, we need to listen to the guidance of our Higher Self in order to make good decisions, move in the right direction and be aligned with our divine plan. Happy full moon to all!
