February - New Moon of the Symphony

This will be the new moon on Friday February 9 at 2:59 pm PST.

It will be aligned with the constellation Capricorn (sidereal astrology). This constellation will be in the spotlight this month, with a cluster of 6 planets: Moon on the 9th, Sun (until the 13th), Mercury until the 20th, Venus (from the 12th), Mars (until mid-March) and Pluto!

The energy of Saturn, ruler of Capricorn, is therefore very strong. Saturn invites us to take responsibility, to look reality in the face with a lucid and realistic perspective, even if we'd like it to be otherwise. This planet can bring us melancholy, pessimism, and an excess of seriousness and stubbornness. Capricorn brings ambition and long-term goals. It calls for patience and perseverance. Like the mountain goat, which is its symbol, we must advance towards our goal, slowly but surely, often in solitude, against all odds, with detachment and equanimity.

Pluto's energy is also very present, as it is conjoined with all these planets. Pluto represents deep transformation and the elements buried in our unconscious that we had relegated to oblivion, the primordial wound. We could be overwhelmed by intense, vivid emotions. The Mars-Venus-Pluto conjunction brings passion, but with restraint and mastery. Be careful not to have too many expectations of the other!

With Mars in its sign of exaltation, we could see a resurgence of great inner willpower and courage, which will manifest outwardly in the form of the realization of our projects or more discipline in our lives. It's time to take action!

The New Moon will be aligned with the part of Capricorn called Dhanistha in Vedic astrology, the "dolphin". It's called the "star of symphony". Its symbol is the drum of Shiva (damaru), who rules the universe with perfect rhythm. This is an excellent time to use sound and music to heal deep wounds, explore mantra chanting, dance and sound baths. Like the dolphin, we need to remember that life is a game and that our True Nature is Joy, Serenity, Eternity and Immortality!
