The moon will be aligned with the constellation Dolphin, called Dhanistha in Vedic astrology, at the junction of the constellations Capricorn and Aquarius. It is called the "star of the symphony". It is symbolized by the drum of Shiva (Damaru) and is governed by the eight vasus, the guardians of the directions and elements that make up our manifested world.

This full moon reminds us that everything in the universe is rhythmic and harmonious and that we should harmonize with this great cosmic symphony. This is an excellent time to use sound and music to connect with the Divine, to explore mantra chanting, dancing, sound baths, to listen to the sounds of nature that are not random but are part of a vast universal symphony, the Word, the primordial Sound, the "Om" that sustains all creation.

During this full moon, the Moon will be very close to Jupiter, the planet of joy, expansion and wisdom, which is conducive to abundance, prosperity and divine Grace. Like the dolphin, we must never forget that life is a game and that bliss is within us.

Until August 31, the Sun is aligned with the star Regulus in Leo, associated with the ancestors. This is a time to connect with and honor those who have gone before us. This star is also associated with royalty and nobility, and we must always remember the greatness and dignity of our soul, our true being. Happy full moon!
