It will be a very intense full moon that will take place this Thursday, January 28 at 11:16 am PT. Indeed, it will mark the beginning of a historical conjunction which will culminate from February 9 to 11 with a cluster of planets in Capricorn (sidereal astrology): Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto!

Capricorn represents the structures and the entry of Pluto into Capricorn for approximately 20 years, as well as its influence on this cluster of planets, indicates a profound and long-term change in our political, economic and social structures. Capricorn, ruled by Saturn, also represents restrictions and we are not done with them in the coming months!

As you can see in the attached image, many planets square the explosive and unpredictable Mars-Uranus conjunction in Aries through mid-February. It heralds great tensions and even violence in the world, conflicts with authorities, and on the personal side, frustration, irritation and even anger!

The good news is that the full moon will be in the constellation Cancer and in the beneficent and very spiritual nakshatra called "Pushya". Its deity is Brihaspati, the priest of the gods. It is therefore a full moon very favorable for connection with the spiritual world, prayer, rituals and meditation. We must transcend these difficult influences by taking refuge in the spiritual wisdom that invites us to go beyond this outer world of turmoil and chaos. Let's take the opportunity to dive into ourselves, connect with the Presence that will make us equanimous and serene in the midst of the storm! Pushya is also related to the Divine Mother and this is the time to show kindness and take care for one another!

By March, the sun, Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, and Saturn will be in the constellation "Shravana" represented by an ear. It invites us to outer and inner silence, and to listen to the teachings of the wise men to integrate them into our daily lives.

Mercury goes retrograde on January 30 until February 21. Mercury retrograde occurs about 3 times a year for 2-3 weeks. It causes us to reflect, to introspect and to go from linear thinking to more into intuition. Now is not the time to launch new projects, make commitments and even order expensive items online, as there could be delays in delivery!

There will be a Kalasarpa yoga (all the planets will be between the lunar nodes, Rahu and Ketu) from February 6 to 21, giving us the impression of being caught in the energy of the great karmic serpent and having no more grip on the outside world. This yoga can also create a great feeling of lack. The sages tell us that when we cannot control the outside world, we can still control how we perceive and respond to it.

As any external event is fleeting and transitory, it is up to us to take it all with philosophy and see in this situation an opportunity to grow. Happy Full Moon to all!
