It will be aligned with the end of the constellation Leo (sidereal astrology), specifically the star Denebola, the tail of Leo, with Mercury stationary direct.
The new moon will take place in the lunar constellation (nakshatra) UttaraPhalguni, ruled by Aryaman, one of the 12 adityas (sons of the sun) who takes the form of friend and supporter. This constellation makes us want to help others, to make a difference in the world. At the same time, it reminds us of the Divine friend and support we all have within us, at all times, on whom we can rely, in whom we can confide. It is said that the goddess Lakshmi was born under this star, which is therefore associated with abundance in all its forms.
The symbol of this constellation is a marriage bed, and is therefore linked to marriage. In India (which is now Bharat!), it is said that one should never sleep on a broken bed, as it can bring bad luck in love!
The many retrograde planets (Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto) can bring delays and obstacles, or take us back into the past through introspection or memories that resurface. This is a time to take stock of our lives, to learn from the past. We may be more into reflection than action, and we need to respect this rhythm without judging ourselves.
The Jupiter-Uranus trine on the new moon brings us optimism, faith, energy, a great desire for freedom, to do things differently and express who we really are, our essence, our soul. Happy new moon!
