December - Full Moon with Mars Retrograde!
It will be an intense full moon that will take place this Wednesday December 7 at 08:08 PM PST with a rare astrological phenomenon: a perfect alignment of the moon with Mars retrograde, that it will even eclipse for an hour!
The Moon will be very influenced by Mars, planet of fire, ardor, impatience and anger. We must be careful not to get carried away, not to make impulsive actions that we might regret! This is not the time to have important and decisive discussions! We could be more prone to frustrations, tensions, stress, jealousy, passive aggression. If we have repressed emotions, they can resurface, explode. We have to stay attentive, observe ourselves and, if we are in the grip of these intense emotions, take a deep breath and drink a big glass of water!
But Mars is also a planet of strength, will, courage and the planet of warriors and fighters! We must therefore channel this energy well. This conjunction is called ChandraMangal yoga in Vedic astrology, and it gives us the desire to take action, to manifest our projects and visions.
The Full Moon and Mars will be aligned with the Aldebaran star, called Rohini, the Eye of Taurus. It is ruled by Brahma the Creator and brings much creativity. It is said that Krishna was born under this star. This full moon is called Margashirsha Purnima and in the Bhagavad-Gita, Krishna says, "I am the month of Margashirsha among the 12 months." So it is a full moon that is very much related to bhakti, devotion and divine love.
The sun is aligned with the star Antares and moves towards the "tail of Scorpio" until December 15 (sidereal astrology), where the poison is located. This star is ruled by Indra, the king of the gods who fights demons. It is a very shamanic star that forces us to confront our dark areas and inner demons (fears, attachments, obsessions, addictions...).
But the energy is more and more "Sagittarius" with Mercury, Venus and the Sun entering this constellation respectively on December 2, 5 and 16. We will gradually come out of the shadows and introspection to set goals, like the centaur aligning his arrow with a target.
