February - Full Moon of the Ancestors

This will be the full moon on Wednesday, February 16 at 8:56 a.m. PST.

It will be aligned with the constellation Leo, specifically the star Regulus, called Magha in Vedic astrology.

The Aquarius-Lion axis is related to people vs. power. We will see a lot of activity around these themes in the coming month.

Magha is represented by a crown. It reminds us of people in positions of authority but also of our own royalty, our divine origins which we must never forget. Magha also represents the ancestors, whom we must honor, and the ancient traditions, which we must preserve in these changing times. It is said that this star is a portal to other dimensions and it is favorable for contacts with deceased relatives!

On February 13, there have been many changes in the sky: Ketu (south node) changed nakshatra for several months. Until mid-March, the Sun will be in the constellation Aquarius and there will be a "planetary war", an astrological expression indicating a perfect conjunction (less than 1 degree) between two planets, here Mars and Venus. Usually a planetary war lasts one or two days, but this time it will exceptionally last 1 month. This could bring complicated relationships for everyone. In a planetary war, there is a winning and a losing planet. When Mars and Venus go to war, it is said that Venus always wins, because it is brighter! Since Venus is love and Mars is war, we can say that love will win over war, at least until mid-March!

There will also be a Kalasarpa yoga (all planets between the north and south nodes), from February 25 to March 8 and March 22 to April 2, 2022; this can give, for everyone, a feeling of restrictions, of "roller coaster", of not being in control of one's destiny.

From February 27 to March 6, there will be a cluster of planets in Capricorn. Mars will be in exaltation with Mercury, Venus, Saturn and Pluto. Exalted Mars could bring the awakening of the inner warrior, but also more police repression, confrontations, and even martial law! The particular Mars-Venus-Pluto alignment could be very intense, transforming, even explosive!

Vedic astrologers have great hope in the Jupiter-Neptune conjunction in Pisces from April 8 to 13, which should bring about a spiritual awakening, and in Jupiter's entry into Pisces on April 15 for one year. Jupiter is the planet of ethics, justice, truth and virtue. For the last two years, we have received very little of its rays, hence the widespread corruption and lies. Jupiter is in dignity in Pisces, he will return to us in force and we should see more justice and truth. There will also be a great deal of caring and compassion for one another, no matter what the circumstances. Happy full moon!
