October - Eclipsed New Moon of Diwali

This will be the new moon along with a partial solar eclipse on Tuesday, October 25 at 3:49am PDT.

The eclipse will begin at 1:58am and end around 6am, with its maximum around 4am. The eclipse will be visible in Europe, Asia and northeast Africa. Even if it is not visible here, we will still feel the effects.

Eclipses always bring change, the death of the old and the beginning of something new. As the Sun represents vitality, the eclipsed Sun, and in its sign of debility, can bring fatigue and low energy. You need to rest well, take more time for yourself and respect your limits without judging yourself or feeling guilty!

Venus will be caught in the eclipse, which could affect everything it represents: complicated and karmic relationships; femininity and wounded love, unfulfilled desires; unstable banking system. However its perfect alignment with the sun brings purification and opening of the heart chakra!

The New Moon will be close to the star Arcturus, located in the constellation of Libra (sidereal astrology); it is called Swati in Vedic astrology. Its symbol is a reed that bends under the wind instead of breaking. It represents resilience in the storm of our lives, non-resistance to what is. This nakshatra is ruled by Vayu, god of air. It is the perfect time to do breathing exercises (pranayamas) and breathwork. With this constellation, one must be careful about scattering, agitation and the mind going in all directions!

Mercury's entry into Libra until mid-November can bring confusion, indecision, doubts, lack of focus and discrimination, but also more intuition due to its alignment with the South Node. However, this is not a good time to make important decisions or start sensitive discussions!

Saturn became direct on October 23 for several months, which should lighten the atmosphere. However, he is in the constellation Dhanistha, linked to war until mid-March: let's pray for world peace more than ever!

Mars will go retrograde from October 30 to January 12. He represents action. We may be more hesitant to take action, more impatient and irritable.

In India, we celebrate Diwali, the festival of light. As the days get shorter and the darkness intensifies, it is time to turn inward to find that ever-present Light of the Self within.

When there is a solar eclipse, there is always a lunar eclipse 2 weeks later (or vice versa). So there will be a lunar eclipse on November 8th. It is said that you should not undertake anything important between two eclipses (marriage, purchase of a house, launching of a company...). Eclipses are magical moments of opening portals, favorable to spiritual activities, whose effect is multiplied tenfold. Happy Diwali!
