November - Eclipsed Full Moon of Death and Transformation

It will be full moon this Tuesday, November 8 at 3:04 am PST, along with a total lunar eclipse that will peak at 2:59 am PST.

Total lunar eclipses are felt up to 1 month before and after. So we may already be feeling feverishness, old memories coming up, irritability and vulnerability.

The Full Moon will take place in the constellation of Aries (sidereal astrology), aligned with Uranus and Rahu (North Lunar Node). These two turbulent and unpredictable planets can lead us to act on impulse, to have an uncontrolled imagination, to have unreasonable fears, to be impulsive. On the other hand, we can have great ideas and fabulous visions with this alignment especially since this sign is known to be very creative and innovative!

This part of Aries is called Bharani in Vedic astrology, whose deity is Yama, god of death and justice. The theme of death may be more present in our lives in the coming weeks as well as the connection with our ancestors. We are slowly moving into the energies of Scorpio, which call for transformation, for visiting our shadow areas in order to welcome and transmute them. As this star is linked to dharma (right action), truths may be revealed or injustices denounced.

Bharani is symbolized by a yoni (female sexual organ) and represents fertility, procreation and the sacred feminine. It is time to recognize and honor the Goddess, the principle of creation and manifestation in matter, to become aware of this creative power that we all have. Happy Full Moon!
