Vishesh - Full Body Vigorous Massage
Vishesh - Full Body Vigorous Massage
Full-body warm oil deep tissue vigorous massage with stronger pressure for rejuvenation and energizing the body and mind. For kapha body types or those who perform sports, physical exercise or intensive physical work.
“I work long hours in the film industry and put my body and mind through a lot over long hours. These treatments have been deeply relaxing and rejuvenating. They bring be right back to balance so I can sustain myself through stressful situations. The technicians are very knowledgeable, insightful and meditators themselves which makes the experience very comfortable and divine. I highly recommend Ayurvedic treatments from here especially over traditional massage/body work sessions.”

10 minutes of rest is provided at the end of the treatment to let the effects seep in further and oils be absorbed by the body. To complete, we provide hot towels for the full body to remove excess oil.
*You may also choose to follow this treatment with an add-on to include the Swedhana - Ayurvedic Steam Therapy, that is traditionally taken together to further encourage detox and deeper relaxation.
How is Vishesh different from Abhyanga?
Though it is similar both these therapies have their unique uses in Ayurveda. While Abhyanga pacifies vata by its grounding effect, Vishesh is especially for Kapha body types as it helps to invigorate and energize the body. Kapha is hard, slow, static and heavy so this invigorating technique helps to move the toxins out using deeper pressure with extra focus on the stomach, back and legs. Vishesh also uses a lesser amount of oil than Abhyanga to enable deeper touch.
