Marmas are the vital points in the body where the life force energy is concentrated. They are the access to the nadis and applying pressure on them releases blocks hampering the flow of prana in the nadi channel.

The benefits of Marma carry its effects at the level of the body, mind and soul by releasing blocked energy in the nadi system (the intricate system through which the energy of physical, subtle and casual body flow) so the energy can flow better.
Ayurveda states that all disease commences here in the Nadi system. When Prana is blocked it stagnates and the tissues in question are depleted of energy.
