August - Full Moon of the Symphony

This will be the full moon on Thursday, August 11 at 6:36 pm PDT.

It will be aligned with the constellation Dolphin, at the junction of Capricorn and Aquarius (sidereal astrology).

This constellation is called Dhanistha in Vedic astrology, the "star of symphony". Its symbol is a drum, the drum of Shiva (damaru) which rules the universe with perfect rhythm. It invites us to harmonize with the cosmos and to find our own rhythm, our unique score in the great orchestra of Life! It goes without saying that this Full Moon is very favorable to music and dance!

The Full Moon will be very close to Saturn retrograde, which could awaken sadness, pessimism, melancholy, and bring up elements from the past. Be careful not to get too serious and see the worst case scenario! On a positive note, Saturn encourages us to take responsibility and face reality, especially the one we prefer to avoid! We may also meet people we haven't seen in a long time!

Like the dolphin, we must make space for fun, contact our inner bliss, and always remember that Life is a Game and that our True Nature is Joy, Serenity, Eternity and Immortality!

The Saturn-Sun opposition during the coming week can make us tired and weary, especially after the excitement and chaos caused by the Mars-Uranus-Rahu alignment for the past few weeks, which is fading and should calm the pace! Happy full moon!
