February - Full Moon
The Moon will be full on 12 February at 5.53 PST.
In sidereal astrology, it will take place at the junction of the constellations Cancer and Leo, at the same time as the Sun transits from Capricorn to Aquarius. The theme of this Full Moon is therefore one of transition.
The junctions between the signs of Water and Fire are known in Vedic astrology as ‘gandantha’, which means ‘karmic knot to be untied’. This Full Moon can therefore bring us face to face with deep emotional knots and attachments that need to be loosened and untied.
The end of Cancer is governed by the nakshatra Ashlesha, which is the constellation of the Hydra, the one that forms a long snake in the sky. Like the snake shedding its old skin, it's time for us to moult and renew ourselves.
The constellations Cancer and Leo are ruled by the luminaries, Moon and Sun, which are our inner Shiva-Shakti. This full moon invites us to unite our inner couple, to harmonise our two principles, yin and yang.
Venus, planet of love, is in exaltation until June, which is exceptional. Love and the sacred feminine are in the spotlight, so let's open ourselves up to these celestial blessings to heal our hearts.
Happy full moon to all!
