At the same time there will be a total lunar eclipse. It is a supermoon because it is closer to the earth than usual and it is called a blood moon because the earth's shadow on the moon will give it a reddish tint.
The full moon will take place in the constellation of Scorpio (sidereal astrology), sign of death and transformation. The moon here is in its sign of debility, which could make us more hypersensitive and experience emotional insecurity. The conjunction with the south node (Ketou) can bring out undesirable emotions such as irritability, impatience, anger, resentment.
Fortunately Venus in opposition to the Moon, will send its rays of love to all our wounded parts left in those dark corners of our mind, and will help us to welcome and love them unconditionally, without judgment, the only way to transmute them.
The moon will be in the nakshatra (lunar constellation) called Anuradha, represented by a lotus. This beautiful flower grows in the mud and represents the transmutation of ugliness into beauty. Anuradha is related to Radha, the consort of the god Krishna, and indicates that part of us that longs for union with the Divine. The full moon will face the Sun in Taurus, a constellation related to Krishna, and the full moon in the Taurus-Scorpio axis represents the Radha-Krishna couple looking at each other, the union of the sacred couple in each of us.
Saturn went retrograde on May 23 until October 11 in the star Shravana, the star of listening. A good time to slow down, to be in silence and to listen to the most subtle voices within us; Mercury will become retrograde on May 29 until June 22. The retrograde energy brings delays and obstacles, but also introspection. It invites us to sort out what is not finished or to start over something not terminated.
