May - Purifying New Moon

It will be the new moon this Tuesday, May 11 at 8 pm, Pacific time.

It will be aligned with the Pleiades, called Krittika in Vedic astrology, which is at the junction of the constellations Aries and Taurus (sidereal astrology).

Krittika is ruled by Kartikeya, the warrior son of Shiva, and means "cutting negativity to go to the truth". This is the time to express our inner warrior and dare to speak our truth! Under this nakshatra, real things are revealed and we can expect disclosure of hidden truths in the coming weeks. This is also a good time to say things you didn't dare to say to your loved ones, make a talking circle. However, be careful how you speak, because this nakshatra can bring sharp and too direct words that can hurt!

Krittika is also ruled by Agni, god of fire and purification. It is the time to do rituals of purification by fire, cleanses, fasts, to give up bad eating habits and adopt a better diet, to start cooking. It is also linked to the forests: it is the time to go to the woods for resources.

From May 11th at 10 pm to May 14th at 2 pm, it will be Akshaya Trityia, a very auspicious time during which the luminaries, Sun and Moon, are in their sign of exaltation. Our two nadis, ida and pingala, the inner couple, are harmonized to produce beautiful children. This is why it is said that everything we undertake during this period will be successful!

The many planets in Taurus until the end of the month give us a taste for beauty and contact with the earth. Let's take advantage of this to recharge our batteries, to ground ourselves and to see that in nature, life goes on, beyond the madness of humans. Happy new moon!
