January - New Moon of the New Year

This will be the first new moon of the year on January 2, 2022 at 10:33pm PST!

It will be aligned with the constellation Sagittarius (sidereal astrology). This sign is represented by a centaur holding a bow and arrow and staring at a target. It's time to set goals, what could be better at the beginning of a new year? It is certainly not easy to set goals in this very unpredictable time! We can look inward and set goals related to our state of mind and consciousness. One thing is certain, Sagittarius is a sign of truth and freedom, and there will be a great thirst for both of these qualities this year!

The new moon will be in the lunar constellation (nakshatra) called Purvashada, the "invincible star". It invites us to persist, persevere and trust that all will be well, that the light will always win. This nakshatra is ruled by Apas, the goddess of purifying waters. Let us leave behind all the impurities of our physical, emotional and mental bodies and enter this new year renewed and regenerated in order to start anew, on new foundations. This is also a good time to work with water, reconnect with it, take baths, etc. to heal ourselves.

In 2022, it could be difficult until mid-April, with the planet Mars being very strong, conjunct Saturn, which will cause governments to be authoritarian. There may even be a strong police and military presence.

In April, there should be a shift in energy with the nodes changing signs, and a lightening, as Jupiter will be conjunct Neptune in Pisces, which will be favorable for a global spiritual awakening. There will also be more caring and compassion. Neptune and Jupiter in Pisces, on a more mundane level, will see the appearance of new medicines, even pills, that will replace vaccines. However, Saturn will enter Naskahtra Dhanistha in mid-February for one year. This constellation is related to military themes and there may be military presence or rumors of war this year.

I wish you a year 2022 filled with resilience, courage, and serenity. Let us hope that this crisis will bring a quantum leap in the evolution of our species.
